Tom’s Great Adventure

My friends at the Institute for Humane Studies are working to help set up a lecture tour for me this Spring. The theme is Globalization: It’s Gr-r-reat! The University of Colorado at Boulder libertarian club has done a really splendid job of promoting the April 24 talk. Their poster (which is being used by other clubs, as well) is inspired. So far, I?m scheduled at the University of Texas at Austin on April 22 and at the University of Colorado at Boulder on April 24. I’m working on the University of Oregon, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champagne, Northwestern University, and some others. I’ll post the details as they come up. Dan Alban of IHS is helping to set it up.

I’ve also written and published an essay on “Limited Government after 9-11” with my friend and colleague John Samples. It’s in the March/April 2002 Cato Policy Report, but won’t be posted on the web for a day or two. I’ll post a link when it’s available.

Also, I hope that lots of people register for Cato University, as we’ve got quite a good program lined up for the summer seminar. This seminar will have a focus on American liberty, and will feature a special session on the contributions made by Frederick Douglass.
