Accountability
I wonder if the elected politicians, political appointees, and civil service bureaucrats who oversee multibillion dollar government enterprises will be forced to sign their names to affidavits certifying that the accounting statements they issue are completely true and reliable. Okay, that’s not true. I’m not wondering at all, since I have no doubt that, although their malfeasance dwarfs that of the accused cheaters who are being displayed on perp walks, they’re not going to hold themselves accountable.
