Movies: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Interminable, Boring, and Pointless Adventures
While over in London I’ve taken advantage of the high prices here to see a few movies, notably film two of the Lord of the Rings. Outstanding (even if it did give me a terrible headache afterwards). But what a waste of time the Harry Potter film was. Granted, it was much more of a kids’ movie than LOTR, but it also went on and on and on, filling time with pointless scenes of cute little moppets mugging for the camera and annoying side plots that were returned to the main plot through remarkably clumsy mechanisms. The film could have been a fine children’s film had it been 45 minutes shorter.
