It’s interesting that the Pentagon has cut down on hunting down and kicking gay service people out of the military, thanks to their rather overstretched positions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, Korea, Japan, etc., etc. Last year dismissals of gay service personnel dropped 17 percent from 2002 (39 pecent lower than 2001). Maybe they’re discovering that gay men and women can fight just as well as straight ones; otherwise, you’d expect them to want to get rid of more of them during wartime, not fewer.
