Spontaneous Order

I’m off tomorrow to a conference in Tampa, Florida on “Economics, Social Order, and Liberty.” Back on Sunday, just a bit smarter, I hope. (One benefit was getting to read again, after many years, the entirety of F. A. Hayek’s brilliant and pathbreaking essay on “The Use of Knowledge in Society” [American Economic Review, XXXV, No. 4; September, 1945, pp. 519-30].)

  1. I’m jealous Tom- I would rather be flying to Tampa Florida today instead of Toronto, Ontario.

Your conference sounds infinitely more interesting than the business I’m traveling to Canada for, too.

Get some warm sunshine for me!

    Hi, Greg,

Sorry, it’s a small seminar. No cameras, celebrities enter by side doors wearing sun glasses, that sort of thing. But give me a call and I’d love to get together when I’m in town. I’m sending you my cell phone number separately. (You could sms/text-message me, too; another a new technology that I’ve recently learned and without which I could barely imagine life, like the fax of old.)
