After an odd day, I’m in Amman, from which I’ll fly to the U.S. on Tuesday. My trip to the airport was rescheduled a few times (for understandable reasons), but, alas, the Royal Jordanian flight I had rescheduled had been cancelled due to the dust storm. Fortunately, I was able with two other people to buy the last three seats on the Iraqi Air flight and head out. It was that or: A) drive back to Baghdad; B) sleep in Baghdad International Airport. Fortunately, Iraqi Air did the trick. Now it’s off to dinner and then to hit the sack. (I did have a luxurious hot soaking bath in the hotel here. Baghdad is a very dusty place, especially during a dust storm.)
More later.
