Woof!
The new catalogue for Liberty Fund Books is out. It almost beats the Abercrombie and Fitch catalogues for sheer prurience.

Excellente tip. And the catalog has a great cover.
Dr. Palmer,
while on the subject of books, I am wondering if you can give any
recommendations on the subject of the Vatican and the Reich

I received my catalog yesterday, and much as I enjoy it I am disappointed to say I can’t find anything prurient in it. (You can bet that I went back through it a few times after reading your post!)
It is a fabulous catalog, full of great stuff.
I think Tom is taking paternalistic “liberties” by lying to us for our own good.
For ammerrepublic, I’ve got to admit that that’s a topic on which I know next to nothing. I’ve never read a book on the subject.
And for Gil, well, it all depends on what one finds of prurient interest….
Yeah, it’s just so….Grotius!!
Thanks for the comment, it seems that many books have come out in the past few years
concerning the Vatican and its relations with the Third Reich..
just wondering if someone had a specific recommendation
Hee. A bibliophilic colleague came into my office brandishing the new catalog and saying, “Is this some kind of plot to turn me into a libertarian by stealth?” And the Grotius has been inspiring steamy looks from some graduate students of my acquaintance.
