Some years ago I wrote an essay on “Myths of Individualism” to rebut various bizarre claims about what individualism means and what those who embrace individualism believe. It’s now available in Russian.

Good article, Tom. Glad to see that you have had it translated. Also glad to see the Parker T. Moon quote. He was quite an interesting Catholic historian. Taught at Columbia and was well-respected. Sorry to see that he isn’t more recognized.
Just a thought.

Thanks, Ken. I’ve always been a big fan of Moon; I didn’t know anything about his religious views, but his book “Imperialism and World Politics” had a big impact on me when I came across it in a used book store many years ago. His treatment of the ravages of imperialism in Africa was chilling and helpful to understand how coercion was used to enrich small numbers of people at great cost to the taxpayers of European states and an even greater cost to the indigenous populations of their colonies in Africa.
