In the 1890s Nude Cycling Was At Least More Stylish
To protest “dependence on oil and the vulnerability of cyclists using roads,” groups of cyclists doffed their clothes (and reason) to cycle about in the nude. I understand the use of nakedness to illustrate vulnerability of cyclists to automobile traffic (and as a sometime cyclist, I do understand that), but….. “dependence on oil”?
