An Advocate of Protectionism Defends Herself

I was surprised to find that Ms. Anita Dungey, a manufacturer of pet collars in Auburn, New York (whom I criticized in an earlier post for her demands for protection against competition), sought out criticisms to which to respond and posted her case for protectionism as a comment to that post. She makes as good a defense of protectionism as I’ve seen (better than some, in fact). I find the arguments illogical and uncompelling, but I admire the willingness of a protectionist to try to make the case.
