I got back today from Guatemala, but have to leave tomorrow verrryyy early for some meetings in California, including talks at Chapman University.

I’ll be back in Washington Wednesday night, because on Thursday morning I’ll speak before the National Convention of the Federalist Society on the topic “Limited Government and Spreading Democracy: Uneasy Cousins?,” along with William Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard, FranÃ?Â??Ã?Â?Ã?§ois-Henri Briard, a lawyer who heads the society’s branch in Paris, and Kenneth Wollack, president of the National Democratic Institute. (I expect some of the sharpest exchanges will be with Kristol, but we’ll see.)
