Misbah al Hurriyya (the Lamp of Liberty) is publishing Johan Norberg’s excellent book In Defense of Global Capitalism. It will be off the presses by June 5.
Cato.ru has also published an edition in Russian, now available online, which is the basis for an essay contest.

I’m curious what the sales have been like for the Lamp of Liberty books? Are they sold in regular bookstores or are they mainly through academic bookstores, etc? What are the demographics of the target audience?

I’ll have better information in 6 months or so. Even the US book market doesn’t generate meaningful numbers for most authors for at least that amount of time. This one will be available in book stores, as well as through web and mail order. The “Economic Freedom of the World” report (http://www.misbahalhurriyya.org/efw/) has been distributed in hard copy primarily to journalists, policy makers, and research institutions. It appeared on the web shortly thereafter. Johan’s book will be off the presses June 5 and it will appear in PDF form on the web in 9 months.
