US police ploy ‘insults’ Osbourne
A party supposedly involving the star was organised in Fargo, North Dakota – but it was actually a scam by officers to round up missing criminal suspects.
Five hundred people with outstanding arrest warrants were sent invitations, and more than 30 suspects turned up.
If there were outstanding warrants for the 30 suspects, it’s hard to say that they were “defrauded,” but using the name of a real living person to lure them is likely to be harmful to that person. He certainly has reason to complain, although I wonder if he should have legal recourse, as well.
