My Talk on “Foundations of Modern Political Economy”
Small Discussion Group after a Lecture

Discussion of Group Questions
My Malaysian friends did their best to squeeze the maximum from me yesterday. I gave talks on “Foundations of Modern Political Economy,” “Overview of Major Political Ideologies and Comparison with Libertarianism,” “Global Challenges Facing Libertarians,” “Markets and ‘Social Justice,'” and “A Critique of the Welfare State,” all followed by Q&A and discussion. The jet lag had really hit me, so I went back to my hotel, took a bath, and fell into my bed for 11 hours of sleep. I’m now working on final details for my next talk in a few hours, on “Limited Government and the Future of Liberty.” Tonight I fly back (which will take well over a day) to DC, go to the office, and then on….I think Thursday, I fly to Ukraine for meetings and the Cato.ru seminar on “Property and Freedom.” (In addition to our excellent Russian-speaking faculty, we will be honored by presentations by Judge Stephen F. Williams, a Senior Judge of the United States Circuit Court of Appeals and author of the fine book Liberal Reform in an Illiberal Regime, 1906-1915: The Creation of Private Property in Russia.)
Thank you Tom for your contribution!
I’ll surely miss your lecture(s). Till we meet again next time. Globalisation have make it possible! 🙂
Take care and sorry if there were any inconvenience.
Thanks again!
