Well, that was a tiring flight! Kyiv to Frankfurt to Tokyo. And when I got here, I found….gasp!….that my Blackberry doesn’t work. Oh, no! So I had to rent a phone which, my relief, accepted my T-Mobile chip. The Mont Pelerin Society opening reception and dinner starts shortly. I’ll meet some colleagues from France, Morocco, and China and we’ll set up the Cato Institute exhibition after the dinner (or very early in the morning, depending on what the hotel makes possible).

I hope you like it in Japan! Before I started working, I spent every summer holiday in this city. Tokyo is one of the most exciting cities in the world. 🙂
I’m afraid I’ll mainly see the inside of the conference hotel. The conference has a very busy schedule, after which I leave for Beijing on Saturday. Some other life, I suppose.
You’re all a bunch of socialists!
