We got some good coverage, in the midst of the chaos of London, for our free trade initiative: “Top economists urge G20 to embrace free trade.” Our partners at the International Policy Network did a good job of organizing the news conference, which was at the offices of the Legatum Institute. (The Reuters piece, which has been widely picked up around the world, credited IPN solely with drafting the petition, but you can’t dictate to reporters what they write, and the important news was the message of the petition, not who sponsored it.)
The Atlas/IPN partnership continues with FreedomToTrade.org. I’ve had some meetings for fundraising in London this morning and, after a lunch meeting with some editors of AzadliqCiragi.org and WauBebas.org who are presently in London, I’ll meet with the Kendra Okonski to talk strategy for FreedomToTrade.org. (We will be posting 11 videos on free trade this week, and a short documentary shortly thereafter.)
Tell Kendra hello!
