Experiments with photos: I’m learning

Experiments with photos: I’m learning how to post photos, so let’s see if this works. Here’s a photo from my New Year’s skiing trip to Saalbach, Austria. This is my friend Matthew Coombes, although admittedly not a very good shot. (This one is better and this one is from Obertauern, a few years back.) And here’s a photo of Matthew and me in London when I was made a “Freeman of the City of London” in a ceremony at Guildhall in London. Here I am with Peter Derrick, Chamberlain of the City of London.) And, while I’m at it, here’s a shot of Matthew and me when visiting the Acropolis. (Visiting Athens was for me the fulfillment of a dream.) And speaking of ancient political systems, here’s a photo of me at Thingvellir in Iceland, where the Icelandic Althing met. (I’m in the foreground in hiking pants. My friend Hans Eicholz of Liberty Fund is visible in the photo, and behind him is Prof. Viktor Vanberg of the University of Freiburg.) And last but not least, a photo taken by my friend Philippe Chamy while I was in Aix-en-Provence a couple of years ago. I’m going to create a permanent photo section on the site where I will have photos of various sorts.
