My friend Julian Rauchdobler of the University of Innsbruck just let me know about a new libertarian website, Liberty.li (“li” for Liberty Ideas; the suffix “li,” of course, indicates that the site is registered in the Principality of Liechtenstein, last surviving principality of the Holy Roman Empire).

Isn’t that obvious? My brillant colleague from the Faculty of Economics is explaining how to run a country efficiently. It is modern economics stupid! i.e. astrology meets wishful thinking. After which, students are sent to us, political scientists, we draw even bigger X-mas trees, and we explain to them why all this is not going to work. We sometimes even give them the name of the one who will make sure it won’t: Santa Claus.
