Kareem’s Case Postponed Again: There Is More Time to Act to Save Him

Thanks to all who have sent respectful letters to the Egyptian government, via letters to Embassies, dignified and peaceful protests, and more.

Friends in Egypt have informed me that Kareem’s sentencing has been postponed yet again, until February 22.

Today’s trial reportedly got so chaotic to the point where the judge
had to adjourn it again until feb 22.

The prosecution and defense almost got into a physical fight in the
courtroom. And 10 Islamist lawyers showed up
with a letter of complaint, arguing before the judge that Kareem is a
‘nasty disbeliever’. The defense is reportedly charging them with
defamation.

Meanwhile, today’s Svenska Dagbladet, Scandinavia’s major newspaper, covered Kareem’s case on the front page.

The efforts of friends of freedom are having an impact. Please join those who have written in his defense or repeat your efforts if you have already done so.

    YES!!

I have been in touch with friends in London, Washington, New York, and Rome about peaceful and respectful demonstrations outside Egyptian Embassies on FEBRUARY 15, and I am hoping to encourage people to get out in Paris, Berlin, and other cities. Write to me and I’ll put you in touch with the network. In the meantime, there is information on things you can do to help at http://www.freekareem.org

Thanks to everyone who is involved.
