Kareem’s Unjust Punishment Upheld

Yesterday an Egyptian court upheld the sentence of four years in prison for Abdel Kareem. CNN has posted an article, “Cairo Cracks Down on Bloggers,” that features interviews with other Egyptian bloggers, including SandMonkey.

Our appeal now is to the president of Egypt, Mr. Mubarak, to exercise his presidential power of pardon to correct an injustice that was perpetrated by the prosecutor in Alexandria.

    One can always ask. There is no other alternative for Abdelkareem. And if it’s put nicely, it might happen, especially if combined with other sorts of appeals.
