A Kurdish journalist I know from Sulaimaniya sent me the links to video documentation of a truly horrifying case: a young Yezidi woman who was stoned to death in public for, apparently, a relationship with a Sunni man. Don’t watch unless you have a very strong stomach; it’s a terrifying reminder of how brutal “honor based” social codes can be.
