After a loooonnnnggg series of flights, I got back to the U S and A from Hong Kong, where I was involved in a Tiandaocn.org conference and a Pacific Rim think tank conference. Lots of interesting meeting with libertarian Chinese academics, businesspeople, and journalists, as well as libertarian friends from Pakistan, Nepal, India, and elsewhere. Sadly, not enough Chinese food, as the main conference hotel insisted on serving Marriott food. I’ll be in DC this week for lots of meetings, as well as teaching at the opening week-long seminar of the Charles G. Koch Summer Fellowship program. My talks will be on:
* A Brief History of Limited Government
* Historical Origins of the Theory of Individual Rights
* Analytical Foundations of Public Policy Analysis and Journalism
* Rhetoric and Public Speaking
Next weekend I’ll be in Iceland to talk to several groups and then to speak at the summer school (Sumarháskóli) of the Icelandic Center for Social and Economic Research.
