It’s been rather nerve wracking to see events unfold in Kyrgyzstan and to be on the phone with friends talking while there’s gunfire in the background. I am planning on visiting later this month, as I’m on the board of the Central Asian Free Market Institute (CAFMI), whose executive director is quoted in this CNN story: “Ex-foreign minister says she’s Kyrgyzstan’s interim leader“
