In Jordan, on to Moscow

A Sign in Erbil Urging Voters to Go to the Polls Dec. 15

I got through into Jordan, although I had problems with my body armor at the customs. (I didn’t realize that body armor was so controversial; it’s not like there isn’t something better with which to hit people.) After a delay came a gracious apology and I went on to my hotel, where I get to stay for a whole 9 hours before I go to the airport for my 3:35 am flight to Vienna, from which I will fly to Moscow, where I’ll go from the airport to the lecture hall to give my talk. (So…I’m spending my time getting my suit a quick dry cleaning and pressing, my shoes shined, and my Powerpoint presentation a thorough revision. Then a few hours of sleep…I hope.)
