Like it was a big surprise. Manipulation of information by politicians is standard fare.
I am not sure whether this is a case of “right or wrong, my country” or if this is more : “right or wrong, my paycheck”, all in all, tragic indeed. NV
Think of this in the light of the CNN/China debate. For all the whining about Cafferty’s remarks, it’s obvious that the American press isn’t controlled.
OTOH, one would never see Xinhua reporting something like this in the China context.
