Mark Brady forwarded to me the link to this piece by the leftist historian Perry Anderson. I don’t agree with all of it, but it’s one of the few pieces from a leftist critic of war that actually makes sense. He’s willing to acknowledge hard choices, something almost unheard of from that quarter. The piece, which originally appeared in the London Review of Books, is worth a read.
