Here’s something that’s more problematic:
Word on the Street is that another US corporation has been assisting the Chinese government in upgrading the Great Firewall of China. Here the corporation is selling equipment and services that provide no capability to the population at all, but only help in their oppression and deception.
Now if Microsoft was really on the Side of Right, they would sell the means to circumvent the censorship in the Chinese versions of their software on the side — perhaps through a dummy corporation? — and then assist in smuggling said means into the country.
