Amnesty International has launched a laudable new campaign (Irrepressible.info) to help people to get around restrictions placed by authoritarian or totalitarian states on the free flow of information through the internet. I think this is a focused campagain, on CHINA, Cuba, and UAE.
I believe that this exmpets USA’s Bush admin, from their “FEAR OF PUBLIC” tactics, used to discourge Americans to know or share what is happening in the world.
Bush Admin since 2000 slowed down by threatning people from internet usage by stating that they could be terrorists / investigated, based on the sites they visit and their shares.
I am a user of Internet for 10 years. Americans are now afraid to write any poltical matter or even browse. They are also afraid to discuss anything about Islam unless they attack it.
So if UAE wants to protect its people for ethical reasons, the USA is using other non visible tactics to plant fear in their Internet users.
Hence the campaign should focuse on laws and poltician and governers and key personel statements regarding Internet usage if it wanted to be transparent campgain

Setting the English aside (I assume the writer is not a native speaker of the language), the content of Sumerian100’s comment is utterly nonsensical. Amnesty International is hardly a “USA Bush admin” organization. Quite the contrary. Moreover, the website to which Palmer links is not even an American website, but was sponsored by the UK branch of Amnesty International and supported and hosted by one of the most anti-American newspapers in Britain, the Guardian!
Sumerian100 must not read many American websites, which are full of spirited debate about American politics, as well as lots of pro-Islamist sites. It shows staggering and willful ignorance to write “Americans are now afraid to write any poltical matter or even browse. They are also afraid to discuss anything about Islam unless they attack it.”
Sumerian100’s remarks about the UAE indicate active support for censorship and his other remarks are merely a smokescreen to indicate that he prefers to be subject to censorship, despite being “a user of Internet for 10 years.”

Actually, what I wrote above is that “the CONTENT of Sumerian100’s comment is utterly nonsensical”. I wrote nothing about his personality, but now that the conspiratorial anti-Semitism has been manifested, it would be tempting to do so.
Sumerian100 has been reading too much Justin Raimondo. The difference is that when discussing who “controls” the U.S., Raimondo doesn’t insist that the answer be given “offline.” (He refers to Washington, D.C. as “occupied” by the Israelis. For Tom; I think it is a credit to Israel if it controls USA, it is hardly running itself. And Israel is not a Jewish country, but it claims to be so.
The bankers control USA, and it all started by the Bank of England which seemingly is the institution that runs all.
