Friends of Democracy
I’m having a great time with and learning from the journalists and bloggers at the conference. Some people from the Grandma of Arabic blogs, Friends of Democracy (which pioneered in the field by providing free downloadable Arabic blogging tools) are here, along with smart, engaged, and dedicated people from throughout the Arab world. (If anyone is interested in supporting Arabic classical liberalism through Friends of Democracy, please drop me a note. They work on a volunteer basis, but they also urgently need funds to pay the fees for their web server in north America.)
P.S. The link I gave above to Friends of Democracy is to their blog page. They provide server space for and then aggregate a huge number of blogs. The page that tells people the three steps to set up a blog and provides the free software is here.
